To celebrate women's empowerment as we recognize International Women's Day (Mar 8, 2021), we have invited Andrea Arthur-Brown, a seasoned leader who dedicated her entire career in empowering and supporting survivors of sexual assault. She will share her passion, journey in her career, the organization of Sexual Assault Support Centre Waterloo Region where she and her team support survivors of sexual violence and work to transform systems that promote gender-based violence. Andrea will also highlight a few practical strategies for supporters and survivors to start the healing process.
